About Me

I am a partner at Luminos.Law (formerly BNH.AI), a boutique law firm in Washington, D.C. uniquely founded as a partnership between lawyers and data scientists, dedicated entirely to developing policies and practices around responsible AI governance — including Generative AI — by developing model risk management frameworks, performing model audits, and designing de-identification architecture and certification, along with drafting and automating AI policies and procedures.

Previously, I was senior counsel and director of AI and ethics at the Future of Privacy Forum, where I oversaw the development of AI and ML resources as well as developing expertise on the responsible use of biometrics and digital identity, with a focus on facial recognition, facial analysis, and emerging issues around voice-operated systems.

Before going to law school, I served for a career in the US Air Force, during which I was stationed around the world, including the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, and throughout the United States, including Florida, Colorado, and Washington D.C.
